Cell Implementation
The majority of our clients prefer to eventually
locate manufacturing cells in their facilities in order to have an encapsulation
process that fits seamlessly into the rest of the production system. Encap
provides assistance ranging from a supplement to existing client resources
to full turnkey thermoplastic encapsulation.
A high yield encapsulation process differs from
traditional injection molding in requiring:
- Specialized process control
systems to achieve desired yield rates, due to the more delicate nature
and high scrap cost of electrical inserts and wiring
- High precision transfer
points to avoid damage to inserts
- Specialized machinery requirements
for certain thermal fillers
The services that Encap provides include:
- Recommendation/procurement of all equipment necessary
to implement the cell
- Installation of equipment
- Training of technicians/operators/engineers in general
molding knowledge, as well as the critical molding principles for encapsulation
- Process debugging
- Establishment of an optimum process template for the
component
- Achievement of agreed yield rates
- Remote monitoring and troubleshooting of process following
start up
