Ultra High Modulus
In pushing the industry boundaries in the
replacement of structural components, Encap has developed materials of
increasingly high modulus. High loadings of short glass fibers and the
use of long glass fibers have traditionally been used to obtain high modulus,
with flexural modulus values up to 3,000,000 psi.
For ultra high modulus applications, new resins
have been developed with flexural modulus values up to 12,000,000 psi.
These resins have significant complexity for injection molding in general
and for encapsulation specifically, however Encap has developed methods
to overcome these challenges. Contact
